Justin Schweitzer, OD grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Jamestown College and graduated with degrees in Biology and Business Administration. He then attended from the Pacific University of College of Optometry where he graduated summa cum laude. In July of 2013, he completed his residency training in advanced anterior segment surgery care and pathology and glaucoma here at Vance Thompson Vision. Dr. Schweitzer is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at The Illinois College of Optometry and regularly lectures on glaucoma, anterior segment surgery and pathology subject matter to his colleagues, nationwide.
Dr. Schweitzer is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, Scleral Lens Education Society, Optometric Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Society, Optometric Glaucoma Society, Intrepid Eye Society and the South Dakota Optometric Association and has had multiple articles published in scientific journals.
Justin and Nissa Schweitzer live in Sioux Falls, SD with their two children Paige and Luke. Justin enjoys running, biking, swimming, and is a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan.
