Dr. Greenwood was born and raised in Jamestown, ND. He attended the University of North Dakota where he was also an ESPN Academic All-American while participating on the football team. He then attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences to receive his Doctor of Medicine. He did his ophthalmology training at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH where he was Administrative Chief Resident. In July 2015, he joined Vance Thompson Vision to continue his career with a one-year advanced anterior segment fellowship with Dr. Thompson, Dr. Tendler and Dr. Berdahl.
In his free time, Dr. Greenwood enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi, playing ice hockey, golfing, running, listening to and watching live music, and reading.
Dr. Greenwood is a member of AAO, ASCRS, and ISRS. He has had multiple articles published in scientific journals.
