Meet Dr. Schultheis

Growing up with a mother who faced significant health challenges showed Dr. Schultheis how illness can impact not only patients, but their entire families. That experience inspired him to pursue medicine and help make difficult health conditions more manageable for patients and those who care for them.

Dr. Schultheis believes excellent care requires knowing the patient, understanding the latest treatment options, and thoughtfully bringing the two together. His goal is for patients to know that he genuinely cares about them and will help guide them toward the treatment plan that’s right for them.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University and his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. After completing his ophthalmology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, he joined Vance Thompson Vision for fellowship training in cornea, refractive surgery, and external disease.
