When Dr. Nguyen put on her first pair of glasses in middle school, she was in awe of her newfound clear vision. She wanted to help provide others with the same experience while also creating meaningful relationships, so optometry made for the perfect career choice.
For several years, Dr. Nguyen acted as the Vision Screening Coordinator of the UHCO Student Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity: a group that provides eye care service to U.S. and international communities. She also served veterans at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System in New Orleans. She provided low vision care, examinations, and ocular disease management.

Personal & Hobbies
Dr. Nguyen enjoys finding a quality iced latte and picking up a good book. She is also an avid cook and often FaceTimes with her mom, who helps her recreate home-cooked Vietnamese cuisine. Lawrence attributes her success to her parents’ tireless support, and she enjoys living closer to them.
