Dr. Michael Greenwood has been described as kind-hearted, understanding, and passionate by his patients. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, and laser vision correction surgery. After completing his fellowship with Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD, Dr. Greenwood established Vance Thompson Vision’s West Fargo, ND location.
As a fellowship-trained cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgeon, Dr. Greenwood performs the most advanced techniques in cornea transplants, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), refractive cataract surgery, and laser vision correction (LASIK). He is a leader in the eye care industry, lecturing nationally and internationally and teaching other surgeons and doctors advanced surgery techniques. He believes that every patient deserves to see life with clarity. Dr. Greenwood is honored to put his exemplary skill set to use to make that happen.
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Heidi, and their daughters, Quincy and Jude. Together, they like to play golf, go running, read, and listen to music. Michael also enjoys playing hockey and skates year-round. In the summertime, the Greenwoods enjoy spending time outdoors in the lakes area.
Dr. Greenwood has been involved in numerous FDA-monitored clinical trials on some of the most exciting technologies in ophthalmology and has been published in a number of peer reviewed journals. His published work focuses primarily on glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and refractive cataract surgery.
