From age 10, Dr. Holthaus knew she wanted to be an eye doctor. Amazed by the care her mother received during an eye exam, a young Holthaus set her sights on helping people with their vision. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She furthered her studies by earning her Doctorate of Optometry at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2019. After graduation, she worked as an optometrist at various vision clinics until joining Vance Thompson Vision in 2026.

Dr. Holthaus loves spending time with her family. She enjoys strength training, exploring national parks, reading, planning vacations, and trying new restaurants. She is a passionate fan of both the Nebraska Huskers and Creighton Bluejays.
