From a young age, Dr. Ferguson knew he wanted to pursue a career in eye care. Growing up, he watched his father, a local optometrist, care for patients and restore vision, which sparked his passion for helping others see better.
Before attending medical school, he conducted clinical research at Vance Thompson Vision, where he developed an early interest in advancing eye care through research.
Dr. Ferguson is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. He strongly believes in utilizing the world’s most advanced technology and a personalized approach to help patients achieve their best possible vision.
He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications and remains actively involved in clinical research to help advance the field of ophthalmology.
Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Ferguson enjoys cycling and collecting sneakers. He and his wife, Dr. Kayla Karpuk, an optometrist at Vance Thompson Vision, enjoy spending time with their daughter, Penny Lou, and their bernedoodle, Kramer.
